Tom was first exposed to chiropractic by accident, after he sustained a rib injury playing county rugby for his native Cambridgeshire: a short course of treatment from a friend's father, who happened to be a chiropractor, saw him soon back to health and returned to the pitch.
Given his strong family connections to South Wales and the Welsh Valleys, Tom chose to study at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. Its proximity to the Brecon Beacons and stunning Gower Peninsula were – for this keen outdoor sportsman – a deal maker, and he graduated with a Masters degree in Chiropractic (MChiro).
Tom’s clinical approach is a diversified 'evidence based' technique integrating established principles in human health science: where appropriate he uses sacro-occipital technique (SOT), activator method and Derrifield technique to assist in fully understanding, diagnosing and treating your condition.
Ultimately his aim is to understand the root cause of symptoms so as to reduce or lessen the recurrence of any issues in future.
Setting up his own clinic has always been the goal. Tom wanted to be able to provide Chiropractic care in a relaxed and friendly manner, Hoxton Square in Shoreditch presented as the perfect location for this approach.
Full history of issue with relevant examination and postural analysis using 'posture Screen technology'. Will always try a few Chiropractic adjustments on the first visit to help ease symptoms and improvement mobility
Depending on issue, follow up appointments will aim to address the underlying problem. If pain management is the reason for visiting, usually a course of 6 session will be recommended at a slightly reduced price. These visits will include Chiropractic adjustments, dry needling, soft tissue work, and desk/sleeping advice.
I am experienced dealing with most Orthopaedic conditions and I am able to assist all age groups. My special interest is Sports Chiropractic (mainly Snow Sports, Rowing, and On/Off-Road Cycling). I have undertaken further training to work towards ICCPS and FICS accreditation.
Jonathan has had 15 years experience as a massage therapist.
He’s worked on cruise ships, been an in-house massage therapist at Google, worked in 5* spas, back stage at events at the O2 arena, and Wembley arena, and alongside physios and osteopaths.
He considers himself as an advanced back, neck and shoulder specialist with great experience dealing with a multitude of conditions within the multi disciplinary team setting - and believes that when you treat holistically you get great results.
Although Jonathan loves to treat with sports/remedial massage , but also he believes in a strong element of luxury, and pampering, so uses therapeutic massage and hot stone where appropriate.
